HPS-Ramanthapur’s year-long Golden Jubilee Celebrations concluded with ‘The Humanoid’

Hyderabad, December 18: HPS-Ramanthapur’s year-long Golden Jubilee Celebrations concluded on Sunday night with ‘The Humanoid’, a musical extravaganza organized to mark the occasion.

The Special Chief Secretary, MA & UD, Govt of Telangana, Sri Arvind Kumar (IAS) Director General (NIUM) was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony. Mr. Adivi Sesh, an actor, director, and screenwriter was the guest of honor at the closing ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion Sri Arvind Kumar said I have two decades of association with this school. My daughter used to study here. HPS Ramanthapur is one of the best in the infrastructure of many schools in Delhi and Mumbai. Open spaces, playgrounds, inclusive education, sports facilities, and ventilated classrooms all put together it has the robust infrastructure he said. And it is rare to have such an infrastructure. Use facilities focus on overall growth he told students.

And added that Hyderabad is the startup capital on par with Bangalore, and Pune, which offers many opportunities.

He gave a few suggestions to the students. He asked them to have command over English, have proficiency in it, read newspapers, and keeps abreast with developments. Our generation prefers to read the printed version of the news per.

Adavi Sesh said HPS-R stood out in an era of designer schools, aping the west. The school has produced world-class leaders like Microsoft Chief Satya Nadella, AP Chief Minister, YS Jagan, and many such individuals. It is my true honor to be here as a guest of honor that too on my birthday today. It is a good gift to me he said. Then his birthday cake was arranged and it was cut by one of the staff members of the school.

To mark the occasion, a musical extravaganza, ‘The Humanoid’ , a magnificent tale of time travel by the 700 students was staged

Addressing the gathering Principal Dr. S. Narasimha Reddy said that “the musical extravaganza is a mix of theatre, history, music, and dance. An educative and entertaining show where more than 700 students are participating, striking a balance between academics, co-curricular and extracurricular. Thus, making education wholesome.”

He added “it is said that the seeds of transformation are sown at an early age, as a society we must remain cognizant of the fact that the value we impart to our children today would bring about the transformation we hope for in the future. Thus it is imperative to impart the right values. We see it clearly in this journey of time travel.”

The school also brought out a Coffee Table book, a reminiscence of the journey of 50 illustrious years. It was unveiled by Arvind Kumar.

More than 8000 people turned out to witness the Golden Jubilee Closing Ceremony.

The then Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu, flagged off the Golden Jubilee Celebrations on 30th July this year. Since then, the 50 years of the glorious journey were celebrated with a series of programs of interest for the stakeholders to remember for years.

The school has organized several programs to mark the Golden Jubilee Celebrations. Some of them include a Navarasa Nrityotsav, a National Inter School Dance competition. It hosted the all-India IPSC U/17 Cricket Tournament. The Inter school Science exhibition was held to nurture the innovative skills of the students.

Founded in 1972 under the aegis of The HPS Society, HPS-Ramanthapur is a prestigious institution spread over 37.5 acres carved out of the Osmania University campus.
