Hyderabad, May 6: Husband kills wife over suspected affair in Fatehnagar shocked residents after a man allegedly murdered his wife on Wednesday. The incident occurred at their home in Sanathnagar area, police said.
According to police, the victim Sasmita, a native of Odisha, was attacked by her husband Chandrabhan. He suspected her of speaking to another person and having an extra marital relationship. As a result, an argument broke out between the couple.

During the altercation, Chandrabhan allegedly struck Sasmita on the head with a dumbbell. Consequently, she suffered severe injuries and collapsed at the scene. Family members rushed her to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.
However, doctors declared her dead in the early hours of Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sanathnagar police took the accused into custody soon after the incident. They registered a case and began a detailed investigation.
Police said they are examining all angles related to the suspected affair. Further, officials are collecting evidence and recording statements. The case has raised concerns about domestic violence incidents in the city. Authorities stated that strict action will follow based on the investigation findings.
