Hyderabad Bharat Biotech First To Produce Covid-19 Vaccine

Hyderabad, Aug.4 (Maxim News): Telangana State is likely to come up first with vaccine for Corona virus, even as entire world is awaiting for producing the same, according to IT Minister KT Rama Rao.

The minister made a visit to vaccine production center in Genome Valley in the city here.

KTR stated that he feels proud that Telangana state is to produce first corona vaccine by Bharat biotech company from Hyderabad.

The Minister discussed on the need for arrival of the vaccine to prevent Covid-19 pandemic with Bharat Biotech International Limited Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Krishna Ella, Biological E managing director Mahima Datla and World Health Organization Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminanthan, Telangana Life Sciences and Pharma director Shakti Nagappan participated in the discussion.

He sought to know the difference between the vaccines, medicines by companies, process, plan and early arrival into pen market. Entire world is awaiting the, arrival of corona vaccine as we proudly contribute to 60 percent of pharma requirements, he remarked.

The state government will support and encourage pharma industry to go in for research and development of new vaccines and medicines. Indeed we have feel proud that Bharat Biotech Company is to deliver the corona vaccine first he maintained.

The minister asserted that the credit goes to those involved in the manufacturing and research of the vaccine. At this crucial juncture Hyderabad has become the key destination being looked at by the world and Bharat Biotech company for the vaccine to release.

The minister hoped of the vaccine arrival to retain Hyderabad name at global level. (Maxim News)
