The details of the same may be entered into the official records of the Ward office. Then the applicant is entitled to apply for the child’s Birth Certificates through Mee Seva or the citizen service center. After due verification, the concerned circle will issue the Birth Certificates.

If the birth details of the child are not available in GHMC records then, the applicant should obtain a Nonavailability certificate from the Special Executive magistrate and such order issued by the Special Executive Magistrate is to be submitted to the Mee-Seva Centre for registration for the Birth certificate.

The applicants whose details are not mentioned in the official records of GHMC approach the said brokers to obtain birth certificates without submitting relevant documents; they just provide the child’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth of the child and collect Rs. 2000 to Rs. 2500 for each certificate.

Based on the request of the broker’s MD. Ibrahim first filled the data in online through his Mee Seva Portal without uploading any valid documents. After submitting the forms and getting the Non-Availability Certificate, he again forwards the Non-Availability Certificate for further proceedings directly without following due procedure and obtaining the Birth Certificate as genuine.

All the accused collected fruitful amounts from the applicants and issued Birth Certificates illegally by keeping the GHMC officials in darkness. As of now, they issued about 3000 birth certificates from June 2022.
