Hyderabad, Mar 9 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Customs seized 9.10 kilograms of ganja worth about Rs 3.18 crore at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Officials intercepted two passengers during the operation on March 8.
Customs officials acted on specific intelligence inputs before the operation. The passengers arrived in Hyderabad from Hanoi via Kuala Lumpur. They travelled on Air Asia Flight AK069.
Officers from Hyderabad Customs at RGIA stopped the passengers during checks at the airport. After inspection, officials recovered ganja hidden in their luggage. The total seized contraband weighed 9.10 kilograms.

Officials said the seized ganja has an estimated value of Rs 3.18 crore. The operation followed intelligence developed by Hyderabad Customs authorities.
The two passengers arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on March 8. Customs officers closely monitored their movement after receiving the intelligence alert.
Later, the officers intercepted the passengers during routine checks at the airport. The search led to the recovery of the narcotic substance.
Customs officials immediately took the two passengers into custody. Authorities later confirmed their arrest in connection with the case.
