Hyderabad Drunk and Drive: 5819 Driving Licenses Cancelled

Hyderabad Drunk and Drive | Hyderabad, Jan 1 (Maxim News): The Road Transport Authority (RTA) cancelled 5819 licenses in the five zones of Greater Hyderabad city on New Year‘s eve when caught drunk and driving.

It has been said that the driving licenses of those caught by the police for driving under the influence of alcohol have been cancelled.

Hyderabad Drunk and Drive

1103 licenses were cancelled in the North Zone, 1151 in the South Zone, 510 in the East zone and 1345 in the West zone.

The licenses cancelled for drunk driving and accidents were 3,220 more than in the year 2021 revealed Joint Transport Commissioner Panduranga Naik.

Drugs Seized

The Rachakonda Special Operations Team (LBnagar) caught four persons who were allegedly transporting drugs from Goa to Hyderabad and seized the contraband from them.

Acting on a tip off, the police caught the persons and seized 36 grams MDMA drug, 12 LSD blots, three bottles of Hash Oil, three packs of OCD papers, a car, a bike and four mobile phones. “The drugs were brought from Goa to the city to be sold to customers on New year.
