Hyderabad Firm Develops Saliva-Based Diabetes Test

Hyderabad-based DiabetOmics Medical developed a non-invasive and affordable technique to check sugar levels. The new test, which can be done at home, uses saliva to test sugar levels.

This is being done for the time in the world and the company has applied for multiple patents. The Made-in-Hyderabad test kit will also find its way to the US and UK markets, its Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr Sinivasa Nagalla said.

The kits will be produced here at Muppireddipalli facility near Medchal, 40 km from Hyderabad. The commercial production will start in two or three months.
