Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police Detective Department on Tuesday arrested Pediripati Shekar (38) of Shamshabad for cheating a person of Rs 1.10 crore on the pretext of selling a land parcel.
According to the police, Shekar, who is the managing partner of a TV Network, was into the real estate business and often dealt in plots which have ownership disputes.
According to the police, Shekar, along with his wife Saritha, allegedly forged documents of a plot measuring 1,500 square yards and collected an advance of Rs 1.10 crore from the victim. On a complaint, the police booked a case and arrested him.
