Hyderabad Mayor Warns Sanitation Workers

Hyderabad Mayor | Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Mayor, Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has warned the sanitary workers, field assistants and jawans saying that she will not tolerate any negligence in performing of duties and added that if anyone does not work properly they will be fired in place of them others will be appointed.

The Mayor has held a review meeting on sanitation along with the Sitaphal mandi circle sanitation workers, today, She said that due to lack of cleanliness on the roads, lot of complaints are being received that the sanitary workers are not collecting the garbage and collecting the monthly fee from house to house, sanitation workers do not clean the allotted places, despite having so much manpower, complaints are coming because they are not working properly, she said that there is nothing to ignore to those who are not working properly.

She said that if the sanitation workers do not work continuously for 15 days, they will be removed, She warned that Swachh Autos in the circle are no longer able to collect monthly charges from houses.

The details of those who do not pay monthly should be given to the Corporators, The Jawans should go door to door and create awareness in this regard. The Mayor has relaxed the duty time from 7 am to 2 pm due to the cold season.

Corporator Samala Hema praised the Mayor for visiting her area and reviewing sanitation problems, she said that she knows the problems being faced by the workers who work hard.

Deputy Speaker of legislative Assembly Padma Rao said that they are taking special measures for the sanitation in their area. We should work together without causing any inconvenience to the public.

The problem of auto rickshaw drivers and workers has been brought to the notice of the Mayor. (Maxim News)
