ED, IT Raids: KCR To Hold Emergency Meeting

Hyderabad, Nov 22 (Maxim News): The ruling TRS President and Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao will hold an emergency meeting with the available Ministers and MLAs at his camp office-cum-residence (pragathi Bhavan), today evening, in wake of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (IT) raids on the TRS Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, MPs

According to the sources, the Chief Minister suggested the TRS leaders to be vigilant in view of the ED and IT attacks and to say that there is no need to fear anyone. with the ED and IT raids the TRS leaders are in panic. The source added that emergency meeting of the Ministers and MLAs was held at Telangana Bhavan, Ministers Talasani Srinivas yadav, Mohd Mahmood ali, MLAs and MLC from greater Hyderabad were present, It is learned that these leaders has discussed on future activities in the wake of IT and ED raids.

Today, Income Tax raids against Telangana Minister for Labour ch. Malla Reddy. Earlier, the raids on Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar and Rajya Sabha Member Vaddiraju Ravichandra by the ED and IT last week for two days came as a Shock to the TRS leaders. These raids came at a time the TRS leaders were still reeling from the shock of raids and arrests in the state in connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam in which close TRS leadership aides are allegedly involved.

Of the 104 TRS MLAs, nearly 25 MLAs are directly and indirectly involved in real estate, construction, mining, education, health, pharma, liquor, sand business and so on. They are said to be the major fund mobilisers for the TRS during elections.

The ongoing raids by the Central agencies in the state have sparked a heated debate within TRS circles, with many believing that the BJP-led government at the Centre planned these raids in order to weaken TRS’s financial roots by targeting its leaders and family members engaged in business activities and contributing funds to the party during elections.
