Hyderabad murder shocks Old City after brutal knife attack

Hyderabad, Jan. 19: A shocking Hyderabad murder rattled the Old City on Sunday night after a 30 year old man was brutally killed in a public place.

The incident took place in the Chatrinaka police station limits, near a wine shop in the Shamsheergunj area. The killing triggered panic among residents and caused tension in the locality.

According to the information available, the victim was identified as Satish Choule, aged 30. He was attacked in full public view by two unidentified persons.

The assailants allegedly used sharp edged weapons and repeatedly stabbed him. As a result, Satish sustained severe injuries and collapsed on the spot. Police rushed him to a hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The Hyderabad murder occurred late on Sunday night in front of the wine shop, a busy area in Shamsheergunj. The sudden violence shocked local residents and passers by.

Meanwhile, the Chatrinaka police reached the spot soon after receiving information. Officers inspected the crime scene and registered a case. Police officials stated that the exact motive behind the killing is not yet known. They also said a detailed investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events.

Adding to the seriousness of the Hyderabad murder, a person present near the scene reportedly recorded the attack on a mobile phone.

The video later surfaced on social media and went viral, further drawing public attention to the crime. Police are also examining this video as part of their investigation.

In addition, officers collected footage from CCTV cameras installed near the spot. This footage is being analysed to identify the attackers and trace their movements before and after the crime.

During preliminary investigation, police found that the deceased was a goldsmith by profession. He reportedly hailed from the state of Karnataka and was currently residing in the Shamsheergunj area.

However, police have not yet confirmed any personal or professional disputes linked to the incident. Therefore, officials are questioning local residents and others connected to the victim to gather more information.

Meanwhile, the murder has raised concerns over safety in the Old City. Police have intensified patrolling in the area to prevent further incidents.

Authorities assured that the accused will be identified and arrested soon based on technical and eyewitness evidence.
