Hyderabad: One Died, 2 Injured In Road Accident
The injured man, Srinu, who is suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the truck and crashed into another truck moving ahead
Hyderabad: One died and another was injured when the truck they were traveling in crashed into another truck on the Outer Ring Road in Shamshabad here on Tuesday. Police suspect drunk driving led to the mishap.
The incident occurred when K Srinu, the truck driver and resident of Julkal in Sangareddy district was proceeding with a load of tyres along with his father Chandraiah (60).
According to the police, they were transporting the load from Sadashivpet mandal to Chennai and entered the ORR at the Telangana State Police Academy and were proceeding towards Chennai when Srinu, who is suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into another truck moving ahead.
“Chandraiah died on the spot while Srinu escaped with minor injures,” police said, adding that a drunk driving test on Srinu showed his blood alcohol content to be 133 mg/100ml against the limit of 30mm/100ml.
