Hyderabad: PJTSAU Organises Haritha Haram

Hyderabad: About 300 plant saplings were planted in the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) campus as part of the Haritha Haram program here on Friday.

The plantation drive which was organised by the College of Agriculture was participated by PJTSAU Vice-Chancellor Dr. V Praveen Rao, Telangana State Council of Higher Education chairman, Prof. T Papi Reddy, and TSCHE vice-chairman, Prof. R Limbadri, among other officials.

In a press release, the varsity said about 300 saplings of tree species namely Tecoma (Golden trumpet flower tree), Silver Oak, Tabeubnia (rosy trumpet flower tree), Jakaranda, Juvviee (Ficus), Plumaria (temple tree) and others were planted.

The Associate Dean, NSS Unit PO’s, Green Club volunteers and the ICAR-NAHEP project took the initiative of organizing the programme which also marks the birthday of IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday, it said.
