Hyderabad Police Crack Down on Rowdies with Peace Bonds and Counseling

Hyderabad, Jan 4 (Maxim News): In a swift move to curb criminal activity, the Hyderabad Police, along with the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, have taken decisive action against 12 individuals accused of various offenses across both jurisdictions. Acting on a report from the Kalapathar police, Commissioner of Police and Additional District Magistrate (Executive) Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy deployed his authority under Cr.P.C. to initiate proceedings against these suspected rowdies.

The 12 individuals, facing charges ranging from assaults to more serious crimes like murder, are now bound by strict conditions for a period of one year. These conditions, aimed at promoting peace and good behavior, have been formally documented in “peace bonds” signed by each respondent and accompanied by sureties. This action serves as a stern warning and ensures individuals comply with the law.

Furthermore, recognizing the potential for rehabilitation, the Banjara Hills Police Station took a proactive approach. Six respondents from their area underwent comprehensive counseling sessions emphasizing the importance of maintaining good conduct within the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate’s jurisdiction. This initiative highlights the Police Department’s commitment to not only deterring crime but also fostering positive change among individuals who may have strayed down the wrong path.
