Recently, a major accident was averted when lightning struck an apartment. The residents of the apartment were terrified when the lightning struck with a loud noise and the wall collapsed.

A lightning strike on the NVR Snigdha apartment in Tarnaka caused a stir. On Friday (April 4) afternoon, a lightning strike on the wall of the apartment caused concern. The wall was slightly damaged after the lightning struck the 5th floor of the apartment. Hearing the thunder, people went inside their houses and closed their doors.  

The apartment residents said that there was a sudden loud thunderclap. They said that the wall broke and bricks fell into their garden.  They said that no one was there at the time ,and the accident was averted.  They urged that lightning protection systems be installed at large buildings.

While people have been suffering from the scorching heat of the summer for the past few days, the change in weather has brought some relief.  The weather has suddenly cooled down in the Telugu states due to the surface depression over Telangana, the coast, and Maharashtra.  Due to this surface depression, heavy rains have fallen in the joint Adilabad district.  

Also due to this, cold weather prevailed in many districts.  According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, there is a possibility of light rain in the Nirmal, Nizamabad, and Asifabad districts for the next four days.  He said that there is a possibility of sunny weather in some places and thundery rain in other places in the next four days.  In this context, people should be alert, and farmers should take appropriate precautions.  (Maxim News)
