Hyderabad Rains: Orange Alert Issued 

Hyderabad, April 29 (Maxim News):  In the wake of heavy rains, the Indian Meteorological Department – Hyderabad (IMD-H) has issued an orange alert in many districts along with Hyderabad.  

The IMD-H has warned that there will be rain with thunder and hailstorm in many places.  An orange alert has been issued for Medchal, combined Nalgonda district, Mahabubnagar, Sangareddy, Medak, Ranga Reddy and Nagar Kurnool districts.  

Meteorological Department officials have advised people to be alert as there is a possibility of gusty winds of 40-50 kmph.  On the other hand, there is a possibility of torrential rain in Hyderabad, officials said. 

Today, there has been torrential rain with thunder and lightning in the city since early morning.  Due to the strong winds, the power supply was disrupted in many areas.  It has been raining heavily in the city since morning.  Due to the rain, the roads were waterlogged in many places.  Vehicles were stuck everywhere due to flood water on the roads Vehicles were stuck everywhere due to flood water on the roads.  Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Panjagutta, Himayathnagar, Narayanguda, Chikkadpally, AS Rao nagar, Kushaiguda, Nagaram, Keesara, ECIL Cross Roads, Charlapally, Nampally, Lakdikapool, Masabtank, Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki, Manikonda received heavy rain.  Knee-deep water reached MLA’s quarters in Hyderguda.  People faced severe problems due to rainwater entering many colonies.  Rainwater stood in the railway underpass of the railway station.  (Maxim News)
