Hyderabad Rains: Osman Sagar and Himayat sagar flooded

Hyderabad, Sept.28 (Maxim News): The continuous spell of rains have flooded the twin reservoirs – Osman Sagar and Himayath Sagar– of the city. The authorities of the Osman Sagar and Himayath Sagar have opened their gates leading to the floods in Musi river. The authorities have released 6,000 cusecs of water from the Himayath Sagar reservoir and 5000 cusecs of Water has been released from the Osman Sagar reservoir.

The Musi river is overflowing with the flood water at Chaderghat bridge. The officials of GHMC and police Department have taken steps to avoid any untoward incident in the city . They suspended the movement of traffic on Moosaram Bagh and Chaderghat bridge. They also issued warning and asked the residents to allow their children on the banks of the Musi river. The authorities have declared high alert in Chaderghat and Sankar Nagar areas of the city. (Maxim News)
