Hyderabad Sankranti Celebrations To Light Up City Skies
Hyderabad, Jan. 12 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Sankranti celebrations are set to turn the city into a vibrant festival hub with kite flying, hot air balloons, and drone shows offering rare sky based entertainment for residents.
Special events planned across key venues aim to blend tradition with modern attractions during the festive period.
As part of Hyderabad Sankranti celebrations, the International Kite and Sweets Festival will be held at Secunderabad Parade Grounds from January 13 to January 15.
The festival will run daily from 10 am to 9 pm. Organisers said visitors can witness colourful kites from different countries along with stalls showcasing traditional sweets from various regions.
Therefore, the event is expected to draw large crowds, including families and tourists.
The festival venue will also host a separate attraction later in the week. From January 16 to January 18, a hot air balloon festival will take place at the same location.
The event will run from 4 pm to 9 pm each day. During this time, brightly coloured balloons will soar over the city skyline.
As a result, organisers expect the visual spectacle to add a festive charm to Hyderabad Sankranti celebrations.
In addition, a drone festival will be organised at Gachibowli Stadium on January 16 and 17. The programme will begin at 9.30 am and continue until 8 pm.
Officials said advanced drone shows using modern technology will be the main attraction. These performances will display coordinated aerial formations and light displays, offering a unique experience to visitors.
Organisers stated that the events reflect a blend of culture and technology. While kite flying represents traditional Sankranti customs, drone and balloon shows highlight innovation.
Authorities have made arrangements to manage crowds and ensure smooth conduct of events. Food stalls, seating areas, and security measures will be in place at all venues.
Organisers advised visitors to follow safety instructions and event guidelines. They said Hyderabad Sankranti celebrations this year will stand out due to their scale and variety. With colourful visuals, cultural flavours, and sky based displays, the city is expected to offer a memorable festive experience.
