 Hyderabad Student Attack In Chicago: Wife Writes To Jaishankar

Hyderabad, Feb 7 (Maxim News): It is known that Syed Mazahir Ali, a student from Hyderabad who went for higher education in America, was attacked on Tuesday night, Mazahir was on his way home from the hotel when four men attacked him. As a result, his eyes, head, and nose were injured.

A blood-soaked Mazahir revealed the attack on him in the video. He requested the Government of India as well as the Indian Embassy in America to help him. 

His family members who are staying in Hyderabad are very worried about Mazahir’s condition.  His wife Fatima Rizvi wrote a letter and asked Union External Affairs Minister S.Jaishankar to help her husband.  She said in the letter that a friend of his had called and said that he had been attacked. We are worried about his safety. Please see to it that proper treatment is given to him. If possible, allow her to go to America.

However, the Indian Consulate in Chicago responded to this issue. It said that they are in regular contact with the affected student Mazahir Ali and his wife Fatima. She promised to provide them with the necessary help. It said that the details have been collected from the local authorities who are investigating the incident. Mazahir Ali, a native of Hashimnagar in Langarhouse, Hyderabad, went to America for higher studies a few months ago. (Maxim News)
