Hyderabad, July 13: A 15-year-old boy died by suicide in Hyderabad’s Raidurgam area, with police stating that he had been distressed following a family dispute. The incident has left residents of the locality in shock.
The deceased, identified as Mohan (15), was a Class IX student studying at a government school in Gachibowli. His parents work as construction labourers and live in Vaddera Basti, Rajiv Nagar.
According to police, an argument reportedly broke out between the boy’s parents on Saturday night. Mohan is said to have intervened during the dispute before leaving the house.
Family members later found him unresponsive and rushed him to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Raidurgam police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered, and police have launched an investigation to ascertain all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The tragedy has once again highlighted the emotional impact that prolonged family conflicts can have on children and adolescents.
