It seems that the authorities are making arrangements to inaugurate this parking complex through the hands of CM Revanth Reddy. Trials will also be conducted in a few days. If this becomes available, the two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking problems in the Nampally area will be over. Especially visitors coming to events like Numaish held at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds are facing severe parking problems.

Also, motorists face parking problems when any public meeting is held and when they come to the area for other work. This parking complex will put a check on all those problems. This complex is being constructed on 15 floors for Rs. 90 crores on a half-acre plot of land owned by Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) near Nampally metro Station under PPP mode. Although the foundation stone of this parking complex was laid in 2018, the work progressed slowly during the previous government. After the Congress government came to power, CM Revanth Reddy paid special attention to such pending projects, and the work gained momentum.

This computerized multi-level parking (MLP) in Nampally is being developed by a private company from Delhi. This is the first multi-level parking in the country to be built with German technology. Out of a total of 15 floors, parking arrangements are being made on 10 floors. A theater with two cinema screens and restaurants is also being made available on the remaining five floors. The building is being constructed on a total of 1,44,400 square feet, of which 68 percent will be used for parking and the remaining 42 percent for commercial purposes. 68 percent of the space has been built to allow parking for 250 cars and 200 bikes. It is reported that the charges will be Rs. 30 per hour per car and Rs. 10 per hour per bike. However, although multi-level parking is available in Mumbai and many other major cities, problems often arise there.

In the multi-level parking complex, floors 5 to 11, including underground floors B1, b2, and B3, have been allocated for parking. A theater with two screens, restaurants, and other commercial structures are being built on the third floor. There will be four entry and exit terminals for parking on the ground floor. If vehicles are left on the turntables of those terminals, they will reach the designated floor through lifts. They will park in appropriate slots depending on their size. The parking process will take only one minute. To retrieve the cars, if the smart card is swiped at the card readers at the turntables, the car will reach the designated turntable. The turntables will rotate the vehicle in the desired direction without the hassle of reversing the car on the turntables. With this, it will be possible to take the car out of the parking lot within two minutes. Smart cards will have to be used to pay the parking charges. RFID smart cards will be issued to those who park regularly. Metro MD NVS Reddy says that he has given special focus to the construction of this complex.  (Maxim News)
