Hyderabad Traffic Challans: AIMIM MLA Jaffar Hussain Meraj seeks relief
Hyderabad Traffic Challans | Hyderabad, Mar 18 (Maxim News): AIMIM Yakutpura MLA Jaffar Hussain Meraj raised the issue of traffic congestion and pending challans in the Telangana Legislative Assembly.
MLA Jaffar urged the government to consider relief measures ahead of the Ugadi and Eid ul Fitr festivals.
During the Assembly session, the MLA highlighted the burden of pending traffic challans on citizens. Therefore, he requested the Government of Telangana to announce a festive relief package. He said such a move would help many vehicle owners.

Meanwhile, he said the government could treat this relief as a goodwill gesture. He added that such a decision would bring happiness to people celebrating Ugadi and Eid ul Fitr. He stressed that the proposal could act as a festive gift for the public.
The MLA also linked the issue to the larger problem of traffic congestion. He pointed out that traffic violations often increase due to congestion in busy city areas. Therefore, he said the government should also look at long term traffic solutions.
MLA Jaffar Meraj further urged the government to take a humanitarian view. He said many drivers, especially auto drivers, struggle to clear accumulated challans. Thus, a partial waiver could provide financial relief.
The proposal is now part of the Assembly discussion. Further response from the government is awaited. (Maxim News)
