Hyderabad: Winter Season Draws to a Close as Temperatures Soar

Hyderabad: After more than two months of cooler weather, the winter season in Hyderabad and across Telangana is coming to an end. Over the past few days, daytime temperatures have seen a noticeable rise, with maximum temperatures in Hyderabad and surrounding districts now ranging between 34°C and 37°C, signaling a shift towards warmer conditions reminiscent of summer.

Nighttime temperatures have also climbed, now ranging between 12°C and 22°C across the state. In Hyderabad, the minimum temperatures have risen to between 13°C and 23°C, further signaling the end of the winter chill and the onset of a seasonal transition.

Hyderabad Weather Updates:

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad has also confirmed this trend, forecasting that minimum temperatures will be 2°C to 3°C above normal for the next three days across Telangana. According to IMD, dry weather is expected to persist throughout the state during this period.

While the temperatures are climbing, the IMD’s forecast also indicates that mist or hazy conditions may occur during the early morning hours in isolated pockets across the state for the next three days.

Noted weather tracker T. Balaji, who shares updates through his X (formerly Twitter) handle @telanganaweatherman, also confirmed the end of winter. He posted, “Goodbye winters! It’s been a good 2.5 months of proper winter so far. Now, we enter the spring season. From February 1 to 12, expect super dry weather with hot daytime temperatures. However, nights will remain comfortable and mornings will still feel slightly cold.”

Balaji added that maximum temperatures across Telangana during this period will range between 34°C and 37°C, with the state bracing for a dry and warmer phase.
