Hyderabad, March 25: A woman from Chanchalguda was detained by the Counter Intelligence cell of Andhra Pradesh Police for alleged anti-national activities. The woman, identified as Sayeeda Begum, was later shifted to Vijayawada for further investigation.
According to the available information, Sayeeda Begum, aged 35, lives near Zaikha Hotel on Chanchalguda Road. A joint team of the Counter Intelligence cell and Vijayawada police reached her residence. They took her into custody and then moved her to Vijayawada. Meanwhile, officials continued their investigation into the case.
Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Police had uncovered a criminal conspiracy. In connection with the same case, they arrested three persons from Andhra Pradesh. These include Mohammad Rehmatulla Sharif, Mohammad Danish, and Mirza Sohail Baig. Investigators said Rehmatulla Sharif allegedly came into contact with a foreign handler through social media.
The handler, identified as Al Hakim Shukoor, allegedly influenced him towards jihad. He also advised him to coordinate with others. These included Shadman Dilkash from Bihar and Sayeeda Begum from Hyderabad. Authorities believe they were allegedly involved in activities linked to the banned terrorist organization AQIS.
Meanwhile, a police team from Hyderabad assisted Andhra Pradesh Police during the operation. Officials carried out coordinated efforts to execute the arrests and detentions. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are examining the links and roles of all those involved.
However, officials have not disclosed further operational details. They are continuing to probe the extent of the alleged network. The case remains under active investigation as agencies work to gather more evidence.
