Hyderabad Woman Harassment Case Ends in 7 Day Jail Term to 5

Hyderabad, May 29 (Maxim News): Abids Police Station secured a swift conviction against five accused in a public harassment case involving a woman near Nizam College PG Hostel in Abids.

The court sentenced all five accused to seven days of imprisonment in the Hyderabad woman harassment case, which involved alleged misbehaviour with a woman travelling with her husband on a motorcycle.

According to police, the incident took place on May 27, 2026, around 6.30 pm near the Nizam College PG Hostel under the limits of Abids Police Station.

Officials said the accused were allegedly in an inebriated condition when they harassed the woman in a public place. Police acted immediately after receiving information about the incident, registered e petty cases, and produced the accused before the court without delay.

Swift Conviction in Hyderabad Woman Harassment Case

On May 29, 2026, the Hon’ble III Special Judicial Second Class Magistrate Court at Manoranjan Complex in Nampally delivered the judgment in the case. The judgment was delivered by M. Bhasker.

The court found all five accused guilty under Sections 70(A), 70(B), and 70(C) of the City Police Act and sentenced them to seven days of imprisonment.

Police identified the convicted persons as Sunil, Umesh, Laxman, Purushotham, and Ram. Officials said all five are Nepal nationals working as catering workers and residing in the King Koti area of Hyderabad.

The case was investigated by Sub Inspector Srikanth of Abids Police Station. Police officials stated that the swift judicial outcome reflects the department’s commitment to Hyderabad woman safety and speedy justice in crimes involving harassment of women.

The Station House Officer of Abids Police Station appreciated the efforts of the CDO Functional Vertical team, investigating officers, and court coordination staff for ensuring quick conviction in the case.
