Hyderabad’s Fasiha Nauman: No Miss Universe Crown, But A Bigger Win

Hyderabad, August 28: Seven months after becoming a mother, Hyderabad’s Fasiha Nauman stepped onto the Miss Universe India 2026 stage to pursue a dream she had carried for years.

With an infant at home, Fasiha balanced motherhood with the demands of a national beauty pageant. She represented Andhra Pradesh at the Miss Universe India 2026 grand finale in Jaipur.

Fasiha, a Hyderabad-based model, influencer and MBA graduate, earned her place after winning the Miss Universe Andhra Pradesh 2026 title in June.

Although the national crown went to 19-year-old Kaziah Liz Mejo from Kerala, Fasiha said the experience gave her something more valuable than a crown.

Hyderabad’s Fasiha Nauman Finds Confidence Beyond the Crown

Speaking about her journey, Fasiha said the pageant was much more than a competition for her.

“I stepped into this journey as a new mother, with my baby still so little, and I had so many moments where I questioned how I would manage everything,” she said.

However, she chose to continue and give her childhood dream a chance. She said the experience helped her discover renewed confidence and the courage to take on new challenges.

“I may not have brought the crown home, but I’m leaving with something much bigger, the confidence that I can take on new challenges, even when life is demanding,” Fasiha said.

She also thanked everyone who supported her journey and looked beyond the pageant result.

Fasiha’s Message to Women

Fasiha said changing circumstances should not force women to abandon their ambitions.

“To every woman who thinks she has to put her dreams on hold because life has changed, please know, you can always begin again,” she said.

She earlier said Hyderabad had shaped her journey, while representing Andhra Pradesh allowed her to showcase the diversity, culture and strength of its people on a national platform.

Advice for Aspiring Contestants

Fasiha also encouraged aspiring contestants to overcome fear and self-doubt.

She urged women to invest in themselves, continue learning and work consistently towards their goals.

“Your background, your journey, or the obstacles you face should never limit your dreams,” she said.

She also stressed that confidence develops through action and encouraged women to believe in their voices.
