HYDRAA Commissioner Launches Development Works At Bathukamma Kunta In Amberpet
Hyderabad, April 23 (Maxim News): The much-anticipated development of Bathukamma Kunta in Amberpet has officially begun, following the resolution of a long-standing legal dispute.
Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency Commissioner A. V. Ranganath visited the site on Wednesday and formally launched the project in the presence of local residents.
The initiative began with traditional rituals and special pujas performed amidst Vedic chants, marking the start of the restoration and beautification efforts.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Ranganath announced that Bathukamma Kunta is expected to be fully restored and beautified in time for the next Bathukamma festival.

He instructed officials to expedite the works on a priority basis, emphasizing the importance of ecological restoration and improved public spaces. “Once restored, this tank will enhance the local environment and contribute to the well-being of the community,” he said.
The Commissioner also urged the local residents to extend their support and cooperation throughout the development process. In response, community members turned out in large numbers and pledged their full support to ensure the success of the project.
The development of Bathukamma Kunta is part of broader urban improvement efforts aimed at rejuvenating heritage water bodies and public spaces across Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
