I will be with TRS as long as I am alive: Padma Rao

Hyderabad, Oct.19 (NSS): Refuting the speculations that he is changing the party soon, Assembly Deputy Speaker Padma Rao said that he would remain in the TRS as long as he was alive.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Secunderabad MLA Padma Rao said that he was now happy with the TRS party leadership and there was no need for him changing the party.

” Some forces are spreading malicious propoganda against me stating that I am leaving the TRS. I have been with party president K Chandrashekhar Rao since the launch of Telangana agitation and there is no need for me looking at other parties,” Padma Rao said.

I have a cordial relationship with Union Minister Kishan Reddy. I used to sit in the Assembly Hall beside Kishan Reddy when he was an MLA. At the time of my daughter’s wedding, I have invited Kishan Reddy to attend the function. He came to my residence and blessed my daughter. We can’t look at this relationship in a political angle as we have known eachother over the years,” he pointed out.

Finding fault with the statement of former MP Bura Narsaiah Goud, who has quit the TRS recently, alleged that leaders of backward classes are being insulted in the TRS, Padma Rao said it was not fair to level baseless remarks against the ruling party when the latter had decided to leave the TRS.
