ICCA Global Summit 2027 To Be Held In Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Hyderabad will host the ICCA Global Summit 2027 in January 2027, marking the first time in the 64 year history of the International Corrugated Case Association that the summit will take place in India. The event coincides with India assuming the ICCA Chair and signals a major moment for Telangana and the country’s growing corrugated packaging industry.
The announcement came during a press conference at the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry. ML Agarwal, Chairman of the ICCA Board of Directors, Ankit Agarwal, India Director on the ICCA Board and President Elect of the Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers of India, Eleni Despotou, President and CEO of ICCA, and Prasad Pendyala, Technical Chairman for the ICCA Global Summit, addressed the media.
The ICCA Global Summit 2027 will bring together global industry leaders, policymakers, and technology experts. They will discuss sustainability, automation, innovation, and global collaboration in corrugated packaging. Meanwhile, a curtain raiser event is scheduled in Hyderabad on February 18, 2026. Minister for IT Govt of Telangana Mr Sridhar Babu and IT Secretary Mr Sanjay Kumar will attend as guests.
ICCA Global Summit 2027 Puts Hyderabad on Global Map
Founded in 1961 and headquartered in the United States, ICCA represents the global corrugated packaging industry. It promotes sustainable, recyclable, and innovative packaging solutions worldwide. Therefore, hosting the ICCA Global Summit 2027 places Hyderabad at the center of global industry dialogue.
In January 2027, Hyderabad will also host two other major events. The FCBM CorruPack Summit 2027 will gather over 3,000 manufacturers. Industry sales exceed US 8.9 billion. In addition, the CorruPack International Expo 2027 will showcase advanced machinery, sustainable materials, and next generation packaging solutions. The expo is expected to feature more than 250 global exhibitors, over 1,500 delegates, and 300 international leaders.
Telangana Industry Leaders Secure Historic Hosting
ML Agarwal, Chairman of Central India Packaging, has been elected Chairman of the ICCA Board of Directors. He is the first Indian to hold this position in the association’s history. Ankit Agarwal, Managing Director of Central India Packaging, serves as India Director on the ICCA Board and is also President Elect of FCBM. Their efforts helped secure Hyderabad as the host city.
India’s corrugated packaging industry is valued at about ₹55,000 crore. The global market stood at USD 170.96 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 179.5 billion in 2025. India’s domestic market, valued at USD 7.8 billion, is expected to reach USD 18.6 billion by 2033. Growth is driven by e commerce, FMCG, food, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and organised retail.
Hosting the ICCA Global Summit 2027 strengthens India’s leadership in sustainable packaging and global industrial cooperation. It also places Telangana firmly on the global industrial map.
