Teej is widely celebrated by women across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, marking the arrival of the monsoon season and honoring the divine reunion of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. Known for its lively folk music, graceful dances, henna (mehndi) application, colorful swings, and sumptuous traditional cuisine, Teej epitomizes prosperity, happiness, and cultural heritage.
