Indian Army has directed to its officers and soldiers to uninstall 89 apps including Facebook and Instagram. According to the sources, the Indian army officials issued directions to uninstall all 89 apps from their mobiles by 15th July. Sources said that the army cited security issues and leakage of sensitive data and said that strict actions will be taken against the violators.
One of the officers said that the decision was taken because the number of military personnel who are targeted by intelligence agencies of China and Pakistan is increased. Earlier, the Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps in India.
