Indian Green Gas Equipment Manufacturers Association (IGGEMA) Formed; Logo Unveiled At Hitex Expos
Hyderabad: A new industry body—the Indian Green Gas Equipment Manufacturers Association (IGGEMA)—was formally launched with the unveiling of its logo at the recently concluded Sports Expo India, India Process Expo & Conference (IPEC), and Eco Sustain Expo, held at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Madhapur.
The Sports Expo alone witnessed an impressive footfall of 40,000 visitors, making it one of the most engaging editions to date. Highlights included Callisthenics Demonstrations, MMA & Boxing Displays, and the Hydrox Fitness Challenge, drawing sports and fitness enthusiasts from across the region.
At the India Process & Eco Sustain Expos, Dy Speaker Dr. Jatoth Ram Chander Naik and other dignitaries unveiled IGGEMA and its logo, marking a significant milestone for the green gas equipment sector.
Speaking on the occasion, R. Balakrishna of IGGEMA explained that IGGEMA has been formed to give voice to industries in the southern region, which until now lacked a dedicated platform. “The association will focus on Innovation, Research & Development, Technology Collaboration, and Skill Development. While the Government of India is strongly encouraging Bio-CNG development—offering 30–40% subsidy on equipment, buy-back arrangements through oil companies, and priority loans from banks—the sector continues to face challenges. We need stronger representation at policy-making and financial levels to unlock its full potential,” he said.

He further noted that 2025–2030 is expected to be the golden era for the Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) industry, as mandatory green lending and buy-back support from oil companies could resolve the sector’s biggest hurdles—marketing and financing.
India’s bio-CNG industry is on a growth trajectory, fueled by government initiatives like SATAT and GOBARdhan, aimed at turning organic waste into clean fuel, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and promoting rural development and energy independence.
The 8th Edition of Sports Expo India 2025, alongside IPEC and Eco Sustain Expo, hosted over 330 exhibitors. Sports Expo introduced eSportEx—India’s first hybrid pavilion combining traditional sports with competitive gaming—while the India Process & Eco Sustain Expos showcased innovations in sustainable manufacturing and clean technologies
The Eco Sustain Expo, in particular, stood out for its creative displays on waste management, which created significant awareness among visitors on how everyday waste can be converted into valuable resources—reinforcing the importance of sustainability and circular economy practices.
