Indian Plumbing Professional League (IPPL) Held At Hitex

Hyderabad: The Indian Plumbing Professional League (IPPL), a quiz-based competition that teaches the latest plumbing practices and promotes the importance of proper plumbing for healthy living was held on the last day of the 3 day Indian Plumbing Conference. The grand final was organized this morning at Hitex.

Ms M. Shanmugha Priya and Ms V. Pushpa from Pondicherry emerged as quiz winners of the competition.  Pune team stood second and Mumbai team stood in third position.  The winning team earned an all-expenses paid trip to Europe. The second and third teams bagged an all-expenses paid trip to the Middle East.  It is both an educational cum holiday trip. Six teams out of 255 teams competed and reached the finals.  The teams from Pondicherry, Pune, and Mumbai emerged as first, second, and third-prize winners.

It is a dream come true.  Last year we stood in third position.  It is an excellent way of honing professional skills.  It was both a pleasure and a purposeful competition. We thoroughly enjoyed commented Ms. Shanmugha Priya and Ms. V. Pushpa the winning team members from Pondicherry.

The IPPL is the brainchild of the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA).  Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) is an NGO and an apex body of plumbing professionals in India, it was established in 1993 to promote the development of the plumbing and building services industry. It has 7000+ members across the country from every segment of the building industry, including Consultancy, Manufacturing, Contracting, Trading, Academia, and Architecture.

1500 delegates participated in the biggest-ever Indian Plumbing Conference.  It was organized with a theme: “Water – The New Currency”. The Conference returned to Hyderabad after a gap of 9 years.

The conference hosted engaging technical sessions and panel discussions, including Water—The New Currency; Moving Towards Net Zero Water in the Built Environment; Water—Revitalizing the Heritage; High Challenges for High-Rise Buildings; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene and Water Scenario in the Hospitality Sector.

An exhibition was also organised along the lines of the conference featuring 90-plus stalls showcasing products and services. The three-day conference concluded on Saturday.
