Hyderabad, June 12: A factory worker who suffered serious injuries in an industrial accident at a pharmaceutical unit in Sangareddy district died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Praveen Kumar (26), a native of Kasala village in Adilabad district.
Industrial Worker Dies After Factory Accident
According to officials, Praveen Kumar was employed at Mythri Drugs in the Bonthapally Industrial Area. He had sustained severe injuries in an industrial accident that occurred three days ago.
Despite undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad, he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Friday.
Following his death, family members and fellow workers staged a protest outside the factory, demanding adequate compensation for the victim’s family.
The protesters also called for action against the management and sought a thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to the accident.
Police from Gummadidala registered a case and launched an investigation.
Officials said further inquiries are underway to determine the cause of the accident and whether safety protocols were followed at the industrial unit.
