Industrialist Meela Jayadev is the new President of FTCCI

Hyderabad, July 16, 2023: Meela Jayadev is the new president of the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) for one year, 2023-2024.

He takes over the reins from Anil Agarwal in a brief Change of Guard meeting held at Federation House in Red Hills on Saturday

The outgoing President Anil Agarwal handed over the baton to Mr Meela Jayadev, who is currently a Senior Vice President.

Mr. Suresh Kumar Singhal, is elected as Sr. Vice President, FTCCI. 

Meela Jayadev is the Managing Director of M/s. Sudhakar Irrigation Systems Pvt Ltd, Director of Sudhakar PVC Products Pvt Ltd., and Sudhakar Polymers Pvt Ltd.

Sudhakar is the leading and biggest PVC Pipes & fittings manufacturer in South India and belongs to the renowned SUDHAKAR Group, a household name in plastic piping systems in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Orissa. They are also diversified into manufacturing Wires & Cables, UPVC Doors & Window profiles.

Mr Jayadev served as a managing committee member for more than 15 years and chaired various expert committees of the Federation. He is also an active member of All India Plastics Manufacturers Association and Andhra Pradesh Plastics Manufacturers Association

Suresh Kumar Singhal who was elected as the Senior Vice President served on the Managing Committee of FTCCI for over a decade and played a key role in several expert committees such as Energy and others.  He is the founder of the Steel Company, Shalini Steel Pvt. Ltd., in 1994. It is a manufacturer of TMT Bars. He is the promoter and Managing Director of the company till 2020 in IDI, Bollaram. Again in 2006, he started Vijay Iron Foundry Pvt. Ltd., a mini steel plant in IDI, Bollaram. He is Promotor and Managing Director. It manufactures MS Billets and TMT Bars.

It is a great responsibility bestowed on me as his response immediately after assuming the charges.  FTCCI has a membership of more than 3000 direct members with its 160 Associations/Chambers of Commerce and an indirect membership of over 25000. It is an important forum for interaction between Govt. and business and industry from a global perspective, Meela Jayadev.

It is the most vibrant chamber among the 100-plus regional and national chambers, he stated.

Accepting the mantle Mr Meela Jayadev said it would be his endeavour during the next year’s tenure for which he will be in his current position to keep FTCCI the voice of the Industry, Commerce and Trade, foster a healthy & pro-business environment, aim at issue advocacy while nurturing sustainable industrial development.

Speaking further Mr Meela Jayadev added that FTCCI will continue to assist in creating a conducive business climate in the state of Telangana while relentlessly leading the business community towards sustainable economic growth. We will also kindle and encourage entrepreneurial spirit and help businesses thrive through issue redressals. We will also be focusing on developing skills for tomorrow’s workforce, professionals, start-ups, and entrepreneurs. We will also facilitate the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector in Telangana.
