Information on Excess Cash Accounts in Banks Should Be Provided as Part of Election Code of Conduct: Ronald Rose
Hyderabad, October 19: District Election Officer Ronald Rose has said that as part of the election code of conduct, information on suspicious cash transactions and unaccounted cash accounts in all public and private banks in Hyderabad district should be reported to the Election Nodal Officer Accounting on a daily basis.
On Thursday, a meeting was held with all the bank managers of the Hyderabad district at the Panwar Hall of the GHMC headquarters.
On this occasion, the District Election Officer said that since the Election Code is in force, the suspicious and unaccounted cash accounts in digital transactions in banks should be monitored and their information should be sent to the District Election Officer before 10 am every day.
He said that the information related to the accounts where money is transferred to more accounts through UPI (Google Pay, Paytm, Phone Pay) should be provided.
He said that the respective banks must install GPS for the vehicles used to deposit cash in ATMs and check the vehicles.
He said that every vehicle will be inspected as per the election code of conduct and the bank officials must take steps to have documents and QR code for the money being moved. Everyone must have receipts for cash.
Deputy DEO Anudeep Durishetti said that after checking the cash held in the city if there is no problem, they are being released quickly. He said that the final list of candidates should be registered from November 13 to 30 by providing the account numbers of the candidates of the political parties participating in the contest to the respective banks.
He said that the cash transactions of the accounts of the candidate and the candidate’s relatives should be provided.
He said that political parties should provide information on cash transactions exceeding one lakh.
All banks should provide information on suspicious accounts, accounts with large cash deposits, and accounts of political parties.
