Interim Bail To Magunta Raghava In The Liquor Scam Case Cancelled, Asked To Surrender On June 12

Delhi/Hyderabad, June 9 (Maxim News): The interim bail to Magunta Raghava, accused in the Delhi Liquor Scam case has been cancelled.  The Supreme Court  ordered Raghav to surrender on June 12.

It may be recalled that Magunta Raghava was granted interim bail  by the Delhi High court for two weeks.  However, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) challenged the Delhi High Court verdict in the Supreme Court.  When the petition was heard in the Supreme Court today, Raghava’s bail was cancelled.

The Delhi High Court granted interim bail to Raghav due to his grandmother’s illness.  Challenging this, the ED approached the  Supreme Court.  The ED stated that the reasons given by Raghava for interim bail were not correct.

Additional Solicitor general S.A Raju on behalf of the ED requested the High Court to take up the investigation.  The Supreme Court has canceled Raghava’s bail today.  It is known that ED arrested Raghav on February 10 in the Delhi Liquor Scam.  The ED has named Raghava as a key player in the South Group.  ED has alleged that  Raghava represents many zones in Delhi.  However, the ED filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court’s grant of bail to Raghaa.
