International Yoga Day And World Giraffe Day Celebrated At Nehru Zoo

Hyderabad, June 21 (Maxim News): On the auspicious occasion of International Yoga Day celebrations, the staff of Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad has conducted the Yoga Practice session under the guidance of Prashant Bajirao Patil, IFS, Curator, of zoological Park, Yoga trainer s.v. Rao demonstrated asanas practice to all the Zoo staff.

speaking on this occasion, Deputy Curator of Zoo Park A.Nagamani today, briefed us about the importance of Yoga in our daily life, daily practicing Yoga not only keeps us physically fit but also mentally fit.

The staff of the Zoo Park also celebrated international giraffe Day today, on this occasion a short documentary film has been screened at the bioscope hall. Later, a rally has been conducted from Bioscope Hall to the Giraffe enclosure to create more awareness among the public, about 50 students from Lotus Lap Public School participated in the rally. Drawing Essay writing and clay model competitions has been conducted at the Giraffe enclosure,

The Curator has distributed the prizes to the winners. in Essay Writing the 1st prize was won by Akshara, and the 2nd prize was won by T. Tanu, both studying in the 10th class at Lotus Lap Public School, Hyderabad.

In the Drawing competition, the 1st prize was won by D. Sai Varshitha, and the 2nd prize was won by Lavanyai both studying in 9th class at Lotus Lap Public School, Hyderabad

All the prizes were won by the students of Lotus Lap Public School including the Special consolation prize won by K. Chandana of the 10th class and the Clay Model competition. In the Clay Model competition the 1st price won by Karthika and Havisha of the 9th class, 2nd prize was won by Daksha of 9th
