Investigation Going On In MLA Purchase Case: Cyberabad CP

Hyderabad, Dec 23 (Maxim News): Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Avinash Mahanty revealed that the investigation in the case related to purchase of MLAs is going on. He clarified that the details of this case will be provided soon. He also said that the case of attempt to murder against former minister Srinivas Goud is also being investigated.

Cyberabad’s annual crime report was released by the Commissioner of Police today, he said that cyber crime cases have increased this time compared to last year under the jurisdiction of the Commissionerate.

“The staff of the commissionerate worked efficiently for 2 months to ensure that the Assembly elections were held peacefully. Last year there were 4,850 cases of cyber crimes, this time 5,342 cases were reported. A cash fraud of Rs. 232 crores has taken place.  277 drug cases have been registered this year and 567 people have been arrested. Two PD Acts were registered and drugs worth Rs. 27.82 crores were seized. Financial and real estate crimes are also reported more in Cyberabad.  We are trying to give justice to the victims. Crimes against women have increased this year. Rape cases have decreased. In 2022, 318 rape cases were reported, this time 259 were reported.  (Maxim News)
