Investigation Started Into Telangana Power Department

Hyderabad, May 16 (Maxim News): The Judicial Commission set up by the government has stepped into the field to investigate the irregularities in the power sector during the BRS regime. It has started an investigation into irregularities in the construction of Yadadri and Bhadradri thermal power plants and the power purchase agreements with Chhattisgarh.

Justice L. Narasimha Reddy’s inquiry committee formed to investigate the irregularities in power purchases and constructions of thermal power plants since 2014 has released a public statement.  If anyone knows the evidence and details related to this, it is requested to inform them within ten days.  It sought information regarding decisions taken by the then government regarding the procurement of power from Chhattisgarh discoms on a nomination basis without following an open competitive bidding process.

The commission has asked to inform through email if there is evidence related to irregularities in the power purchase and bidding process. They can also send it by post to BRK Bhavan which will examine any information.

Justice Narsimha Reddy said that an open inquiry will be held together with information from people with technical knowledge, electricity employees can also participate in the public inquiry and submit the information they have, he requested to cooperate in this, that the investigation will be conducted without any personal insults or political criticisms.  (Maxim News)
