iPhone 18 Pro Max battery capacity details have surfaced through new filings in China’s 3C certification database. Tipster Digital Chat Station spotted the entries, which are believed to refer to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The figures point to a notable increase in battery size over the current iPhone 17 Pro series.
According to the 3C filings, the iPhone 18 Pro Max eSIM model will carry a 5,567 mAh battery. The physical SIM tray version of the same model will pack a 5,391 mAh battery.
These numbers are higher than a previous rumour that had estimated 5,425 mAh for the eSIM model and 5,235 mAh for the SIM tray variant. As a result, the new leak paints a more optimistic picture for battery life.
Furthermore, comparing these figures to the iPhone 17 Pro Max reveals a clear upgrade. The eSIM model offers a 479 mAh increase over its predecessor. The physical SIM version delivers an even larger 568 mAh jump. Apple typically sells eSIM-only iPhones in the United States.

However, it is important to note that 3C database filings reflect the rated battery capacity, which is typically the minimum guaranteed figure. The actual battery size can be slightly higher.
Moreover, Apple has not officially confirmed any specifications for the iPhone 18 series. Therefore, all figures should be treated as unverified leaks until Apple makes an official announcement.
