JP Nadda | Hyderabad, July 9 (Maxim News): JP Nadda, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, addressed the BJP Intellectual Meet at Hotel Taj Deccan in Banjara Hills on Thursday.
He said the central government’s governance is guided by the principles of inclusive development, accountability, and dignity for every citizen.
BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao and Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy also attended the event along with senior BJP leaders, intellectuals, and invited guests.
According to Nadda, the government has focused on expanding electricity access, road connectivity, and essential infrastructure in rural and remote areas.
Nadda said improved all-weather roads have helped farmers transport produce to markets more efficiently. As a result, he claimed, rural incomes and agricultural productivity have improved across the country.
Furthermore, Nadda highlighted India’s digital transformation. He said digital payments and Direct Benefit Transfer have improved transparency and financial inclusion. He noted that QR code-based transactions are now common in villages and small towns. He said this reflects the growing adoption of digital technology across India at the grassroots level.
Nadda Cites Ayushman Bharat, Swachh Bharat and Centre’s Support to Telangana at BJP Meet
Additionally, Nadda referred to welfare and poverty alleviation programmes. He said millions of people have moved out of poverty under the current government. He described Ayushman Bharat as the world’s largest public health insurance programme.
JP Nadda said it provides health coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh to eligible beneficiaries. He also highlighted the Swachh Bharat Mission and stated that toilet construction has improved sanitation and dignity, particularly for women.
Moreover, Nadda spoke about internal security. He said the government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards Left Wing Extremism. He claimed the number of LWE-affected districts has reduced significantly over the years. He also praised the armed forces for their professionalism in counter-terror operations. He said India’s defence preparedness has been strengthened through modern technology and enhanced capabilities.
On technology and manufacturing, Nadda said the government is promoting innovation through investment in artificial intelligence, semiconductor manufacturing, and startup ecosystems. He said India has emerged as one of the world’s leading startup destinations. He also noted that Telangana has established itself as an important hub for the semiconductor and electronics sectors.
Highlighting central support for Telangana, Nadda said the state has received substantial financial assistance through tax devolution and central allocations.
Further he said this covers National Highways, railway infrastructure, power projects, and other development initiatives. He added that several infrastructure projects are currently under implementation across Telangana.
He concluded by reiterating the government’s focus on inclusive development, transparent governance, national security, and technological advancement.
