Hyderabad, May 11 (Maxim News): The IPL-XII Editions T-20 Final Cricket Match will be held on May 12 at RGI Cricket Stadium, Uppal. The final match will start on May 12 from 1930 hours till completion of match. The stadium has approximately 38,000 seating capacity. The Rachakonda police have made elaborate security arrangements for the peaceful conduct of IPL final match at Uppal stadium.
Addressing mediapersons on security arrangements made for the event, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagavath said they have set up 300 CC cameras in and around the stadium as part of their security arrangements. He also said 2,850 police personnel have also been deployed to check untoward incidents during final match. He said a command control Center has been set up inside the stadium to carry out the CC TV surveillance. They have also made special arrangements for Parking at the stadium. He exhorted the people and cricket enthusiasts to not bring their belongings like helmets, power bank, cigarettes, laptops, liquor and water bottles inside the stadium.
SHE Teams, Mounted Police, Vajra & Gas Parties, Octopus, AR Guards at all Parking Places, CCS Teams also deployed for preventing and detecting of property offences, IT Core Team for CCTV Surveillance Monitoring from control room, 04 Platoons of TSSP for armed guards at all entries and at Check Posts, Traffic wings 225 members, and L & O wings, (Total 2850) Police Personals are deployed/participated for Final T-20 Cricket match. Anti sabotage checks with the help of B.D teams would continue round the clock until the match is completed.
Effective communication system is being maintained with the allocation of VHF sets to every Sub-Inspector and above rank for quick response and also a control room was installed. The scanners installed at the stadium will allow police and other security personnel to detect explosives and other prohibited material inside the venue. The services of bomb disposal team and sniffer dogs were pressed into service to ensure safety in the stadium and parking places. Check posts were set up at all the entry points of stadium to carry out anti sabotage check and frisking of persons. (Maxim News)
