ISRO Scientists Offer Prayers At Tirumala Temple Ahead Of The Aditya-L1 mission

Tirumala, September 01: Ahead of the Aditya-L1 mission to study the Sun, ISRO scientists visited Tirumala temple to offer prayers. Scheduled for launch on September 2, the mission aims to observe the solar corona and solar wind from the Sun-Earth Lagrangian point. The scientists sought blessings for success, continuing a tradition of seeking divine favour before major missions.

Notably, ISRO performed a similar ritual before Chandrayaan-3’s launch. The recent lunar mission made history by achieving a successful soft landing on the Moon’s South Pole on August 23, establishing India as the sole country to accomplish this feat.
