Mumbai/Hyderabad, Sept 28 (Maxim News): The Income Tax Department is conducting searches at 12 locations including Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh, her uncle, film producer Vasu Bhagnani, Panorama Studios and a total of 12 locations today. The Mumbai Income Tax Department is conducting these searches in the context of irregularities in the transfer of funds. There are allegations that funds were diverted abroad in the name of financing film projects. Several teams from the Mumbai IT Department are examining documents and financial records in this case today.
The IT department is also investigating overseas transactions. It is known that in December last year, the police launched a manhunt for Rakul Preet Singh’s brother Aman Preet Singh in a drug case. On December 19, 2025, the Drug Enforcement Team of the police arrested two traders. 43 grams of cocaine and 11.5 grams of MDMA were seized from them. However, in this case, there are suspicions that Aman purchased drugs five times from the two peddlers. (Maxim News)
