Kolkata/Internet/Hyderabad, April 24 (Maxim News): Record turnout was recorded in the first phase of elections held in West Bengal. Union Home Minister Amit Shah responded to this and said that it is clear that people want change. Now, he said that the time has come for Didi (referring to CM Mamata banerjee) to step down.
Amit Shah made these comments at a press conference held in Kolkata. The Union Minister expressed confidence that the BJP will win more than 110 seats out of 152 seats for which polls were held in the first phase. ‘According to the information we have received, the people of Bengal have decided their future in the first phase. They have opted for development under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. If we look azt the first phase of polling, it is clear that the time has come for Didi to step down and the BJP will take power, said Amit Shah.
Amit Shah said that if the BJP comes to power, the reign of terror in West Bengal will end. he promised to restore the rule of law. He said that change means making Bengal free from intrusion. Freedom from corruption, appeasement and exploitation, and providing employment opportunities to the youth. After the formation of the government, women’s safety will be given top priority, he said.
He criticized Mamata Banerjee for spreading rumors that if the BJP comes to power in Bengal, the government will be from outside. Didi garu, I have to tell you something. Only someone who was born here, studied in Bengali and can speak the language will become the next CM in Bengal. However, it is not your nephew (referring to Abhishek Banerjee).
