Jagga Defends Encounter Of Disha Killers
Hyderabad, Dec.7 (Maxim News): Sangareddy MLA Thoorpu Jayaprakash Reddy on Saturday said crimes against women like rapes and murders were continuously taking place in the State. He said the murder of Disha created a sensation across the State and the country. He said the police killed the accused in an encounter. He also made it clear that he would defend the encounter of the accused as father of a daughter. He, however, hastened to state that being an MLA, he felt that the accused should have been punished through judicial process.
He asked whether rapes would stop in the State and the country with police encounters. He asked whether the police would encounter Godman like Nityananda Swami, who was facing several allegations of rape and murder. He also demanded that the State government take steps to punish the accused of crimes against women in a legal manner instead of carrying out encounters.
Referring to the statement of Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, he alleged that the minister’s statement indicates that the Chief Minister KCR was behind the police encounter of the accused. (Maxim News)
