Hyderabad, April 30: Mazhar Asif said that all Indians share “Mahadev’s DNA” while addressing an event organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Delhi.
His remarks have drawn attention after a video of the speech surfaced online.

Speaking at the ‘Yuva Kumbh’ event held on the campus of Jamia Millia Islamia, Asif highlighted India’s diversity.
He noted that people belong to different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
However, he stressed that unity remains a defining feature of the country.
He said this unity can be understood through the idea that “Mahadev’s DNA flows within all Indians”.
The video of the speech has since been widely circulated on social media platforms.
Officials have not issued any further statement regarding the remarks.
