Jeevan Reddy Asks Govt To Implement Rythu Bandu Sans Curbs

Hyderabad, Feb.29 (Maxim News): Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy on Saturday said there was no clarity on the issue of crop loans. He said some 6,000 farmers have committed suicide so far since the formation of separate Telangana State. He said the benefits of Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima were also being given to the farmers. He also said they have information that the benefits of Rythu Bandhu were being given to only those who have less than three acres of land.

Speaking to mediapersons, Jeevan Reddy demanded that the State government implement the Rythu Bandhu scheme without any restrictions. He also demanded that the State government extend crop loss compensation to the deceased farmers as well. He also demanded that the State government extend its support to Tur Dal farmers.

Targeting BJP MP from Nizamabad Dharmapuri Aravind, the Congress leader alleged that the BJP MP had retracted from his promise even after executing a bond on the issue. He made it clear that the Congress MPs were fighting on the problems being faced by the people of the State in Parliament. Commenting on the Cooperative sector elections, he made it clear that the Congress had won equal number of directors’ posts along with the ruling party.

Congress MLA Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy said the Congress had given lands to the landless SCs and STs in the country. He also alleged that while the Congress has extended all support to the farmers, the TRS was causing problems to the farmers by selling away their lands.(Maxim News)
