Jr NTR’s father-in-law joins YSRCP
Hyderabad, Feb.28 (Maxim News): In a major development and setback to the ruling TDP, Narne Srinivasa Rao, father-in-law of Junior NTR, joined YSR Congress Party and met party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday.
Speaking to media persons later, Narne Srinivasa Rao said he joined the YSRCP to strengthen the hands of YS Jaganmohan and would work for the Party. Asked whether his close relationship with the NTR family would not be affected by the joining, Narne said, “That is a family matter while this is a political issue which need not be overlapped.” He also said he did not ask for any seat and was not sure if he will contest or not but will abide by the decision of the leadership.
Earlier, NTR’s grandson and son of former Union minister Daggubati Purandeswari joined the Party and met YSRCP leader with his father Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, who had a long political innings. (Maxim News)
